Moonrakers fundraising concert

A big THANK YOU to the 98 people who turned out last night to the Moonrakers concert in the church.

The evening was a great success with many people praising the beautiful playing, singing and music selection.

Thanks to the generosity of the anonymous donors who picked up the band’s fee, Grape Minds, Wallingford, for providing excellent wine at cost and the lavish spending of attendees at the donation bar(!), we made a profit of over £1600. This boosts our income for the year so far to over £35,000 and enables us to continue with the much-needed church building restoration work.

This is particularly welcome given the recent bad news about the poor condition of the church roof.
